There are displays in the museum of well-known people with Wellington connections, such as:
- Dr Abdullah Abdurahman, the first Coloured Member of the City Council of Cape Town and Member of Parliament.
- Ds M L de Villiers, composer of the former national anthem "Die Stem".
- Authors like Breyten Breytenbach, Adam Small, PH Nortjé, to name a few.
